New Client Services Director appointed to help steer next phase of Dootrix’s growth

LONDON – Wednesday 21st February. We are pleased to announce that we have appointed a new Client Services Director to help shape and deliver the next phase of Dootrix’s growth as a serious contender in the rapidly expanding cloud services market. Mark Lapicki was previously Vice President, Global Engineering, Online for The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. Internally, Mark will help develop the Dootrix team to unlock another level of potential; externally, he will leverage his technical expertise running complex portfolios of projects and teams to help our clients achieve more.

New appointment to help drive upward trajectory

Mark Lapicki joins Dootrix after a successful 20-year career with The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. His appointment as Client Services Director follows the recruitment of tech heavyweight, Tom Fitzgibbons, as COO in November 2023 to support Dootrix’s founders Rob Borley, CEO, and Kevin Smith, CTO, in overseeing the upward trajectory of the business

Lapicki’s corporate experience will help mature the client account experience for Dootrix’s growing raft of enterprise clients looking for expert Microsoft Azure consultancy, such as Heathrow, Confused.com, Britain’s blue light services and universities.

Lapicki joined The Estee Lauder Companies Inc as a graduate recruit, rising to become Head of Engineering, UK then UK & EMEA Online production & Operations manager. In 2015 he was asked to set up an Innovation Lab, becoming Executive Director of Application Development two years later, taking the Vice President role in 2019.

Maturing Dootrix’s client experience

Dootrix CEO, Rob Borley, said: “We are delighted that Mark Lapicki is joining Dootrix to strengthen our client experience. His expertise will help ensure that we excel at communication to the same level that we excel technically as a Microsoft Azure specialist, so that we ultimately deliver the right solutions at the right time for our clients.”

“My experiences setting up an innovation lab means I can bring a fresh perspective to drive innovation where appropriate, while my global role overseeing large teams of engineers in several countries plus various IT suppliers gives me a good understanding of how to make the complex supplier eco-systems that Dootrix operates in work successfully,” commented Lapicki.

The quality of Dootrix’s services and Azure expertise combined with its cutting-edge approach led to it being chosen by Heathrow to partner in developing architectural ownership and governance across multiple internal and external software projects, design and project management right through to full stack, end-to-end development, delivery and maintenance for Europe’s busiest airport.

A growing Microsoft Azure specialist

Dootrix employs a large team of highly skilled specialists, including Azure-certified engineers, experienced software engineers, data engineers, and cloud architects. The company has won a reputation for its depth of expertise in development around MS Azure, providing consultancy, engineering and governance through architectural ownership of areas dominated by compliance and security.

Dootrix was a finalist for The Tech Business of the Year Award in the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards 2023, which showcase resilience, innovation and entrepreneurship
